The Social Action Committee received numerous inquiries regarding the action taken by Michigan Speaker of the House Lee Chatfield in response to Rep. Cynthia Johnson’s social media posts. She responded to threats against her life and was disciplined, so sorors wondered what response our Sorority would have. At this time, the Sorority has not made a statement, but always encourages members to let their voices be heard and to address actions taken by elected officials as individual citizens. For example, some members of the Social Action committee have indicated that, as individuals, they will contact the speaker regarding their concerns. If you wish to contact Rep.
