This is our final week. Did you find time during the last two weeks to pause and reflect? If not, it’s not too late to catch up! When we choose to pause and reflect, we become more aware of what’s really going on with our hearts, emotions and current thought cycle. By digging into these areas intentionally, focusing on finding alignment, we begin to holistically grasp our current state. Please join me for this final week of reflection. Have an honest conversation with yourself. Let’s prioritize ourselves this week and find uninterrupted time to devote to reflecting. Schedule some time this week and relax by curling up in your favorite spot, grabbing your favorite drink and a journal. Then call your heart, mind and soul to your attention. As requested in the previous two weeks, if you so desire, please email a few of your thoughts to president@detroitdeltas.org. I’d love to hear your reflections! Here is the final set of journal prompts: What have you learned to appreciate in 2020? What did you learn about yourself in 2020? What hope have you found in the midst of the challenges the world has seen this year? I look forward to hearing some of your reflections! *excerpts from Grit and Virtue Yours in Service, Larmender A. TWO Help to spread information to your family and friends living in Georgia about the Senate Run Offs. The registration deadline is Monday, December 7. The following is nonpartisan information from our national partner, When We All Vote: What’s a runoff? On Tuesday, January 5th, 2021, Georgia will be holding runoff elections for its two seats in the United States Senate, which will also decide which party controls the chamber. A runoff election occurs when no candidate in the general election meets the 50% majority threshold. In this case, both U.S. Senate races in Georgia will move on to a runoff. Only two candidates for each race will compete for the seat — and who wins will be determined by YOU. Who can participate?Any eligible voter in Georgia! If you live in Georgia, this is your chance to make your voice heard once again or for the first time. You did not have to vote in the November 3rd elections to be eligible to participate in the runoffs. And if you weren’t old enough to vote on November 3rd, that’s okay! As long as you will be 18 by January 5th, you can vote in the runoff elections. Please share the graphic below on your social media platforms. THREE Consider donating to the organization Fair Fight founded by Stacey Abrams. Its purpose is to advocate and protect free, fair and secure elections across the country. They are now focusing on the Senate run off in Georgia. To get more information about the organization and to give a donation, go to www.fairfight.com/fair-fight-2020/ One more thing… Consider donating to a Georgia Senate candidate or candidates of your choice. Donations are always welcomed by candidates and funds allow them to reach more votersabout their platforms and positions. The candidates are as followed: Rev. Raphael Warnock, DemocratWebsite: https://warnockforgeorgia.com/To volunteer: https://warnockforgeorgia.com/take-action/ Senator Kelly Loeffler, Republican (Challenged by Rev.
